Mrs. Oliva Melanson, 72, of Foyer St-Thomas, St-Joseph and formerly of Pré-d'en-Haut. passed away on Thursday, January 9, 1997 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.

Oliva Gautreau Born in Gautreau Village, she wàs the daughter of the late Adélard and Agathe (Boudreau) Gautreau. A housewife, she attended Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut.

She is survived by her husband Gérald Melanson; four daughters, Claudette (Armand Melanson) of_Scoudouc, Simonne (Clarence Gould) of Memramcook East, Annette (Rodolphe LeBlanc) of Memramcook East and Ruth Melanson of Memramcook East; nine sons, Raymond (Agnes) Melanson of Dover, Ronald Melanson of Bouctouche, Roger (Dora) Melanson of Memramcook east Charles Melanson of Dover, Fox Creek, Michel (Charline) Melanson of St-Joseph, Gaston (Debbie) Melanson of Memramcook, Gilles (Annette) Melanson of Dover, Armand (Dianne) Melanson of Stoney Plain, Alta. and Normand (Christine) Melanson of Moose Jaw, Sask.; four sisters, Mrs. Irène (Fred Bourgault) of Sherbrook, Que., Mrs. Bernadette (late Arthur St-Martin) of Sudbury, Ont., Mrs. Edna (late Edgar Cormier) of Dover and Mrs. Bernice (Léo Lirette) of Dover, Fox Creek; four brothers, Robert Gautreau of Pré-d'en-Haut, Arthur (Rachel) Gautreau of St-Joseph, Georgie (Jeannette) Gautreau of Grimsby, Ont. and Jean-Paul (Tina) Gautreau of Waltham, Mass., USA; 19 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sinter, Yvonne; one brother, Oscar.

Resting at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memrameook, N.B. with the Funeral mass to be held at Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation Roman Catholic church.
